About the WHP Report CardThe objective of NCQA’s Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation Program is to evaluate organizations that provide wellness and health promotion services against an evidence-based set of requirements—including standards and measures—in order to distinguish high-quality services. What's more, NCQA's standardized measures allow employers and others who contract with organizations that provide health promotion services to make informed comparisons when choosing among several vendors. NCQA’s WHP standards and measures are reflective of extensive industry research and input from a wide range of organizations—including health plans, health promotion vendors, disease management organizations, consumer representatives and purchasers. The WHP standards were approved by NCQA’s multi-stakeholder Standards Committee and by its Board of Directors. Accreditation Status NCQA assesses the organization for performance against each standard individually. Points are assigned to each standard and element. NCQA also evaluates each element separately and assigns a performance level of 100%, 80%, 50%, 20% or 0%. The organization receives a percentage of element points based on the awarded performance level. The total point value for the standard is the sum of the point values for each element. The accreditation status is based on the overall standards score:
